Electric Buses | Learn More

The University of Georgia has a fleet of over 30 electric buses!  These 40-foot electric buses emit no pollution, are quieter and have lower operating costs than existing diesel powered buses. The buses are part of the universitys strategic plan to advance campus sustainability.

License Plate Recognition Permits | Learn More

License Plate Recognition Permits, or LPRs, are a convenient parking solution that simplifies parking on-campus by linking your permit to your license plate. This drastically reduces the number of parking permits printed each year.

UGA reCYCLE | Learn More

UGA reCYCLE is a need-based bicycle recycling and redistribution program for the UGA campus community. The program refurbishes bikes that were abandoned on campus bike racks and puts them in the hands of UGA students and employees who need them for transportation to and from school or work.

The reCYCLE program is driven by a coalition of partners including UGA Transportation & Parking, UGA Office of Sustainability, UGA Police Department, and the local nonprofit BikeAthens. The reCYCLE Program was developed in 2014 through a joint venture between UGA Transportation & Parking and the UGA Office of Sustainability, in partnership with Students for Environmental Action, and funded in part by a 2015 Sustainability Grant through the Office of Sustainability.
