Parking permit requests open during late spring for permits valid the following fall. While you can request a permit year round, doing so during the spring application period will increase your chances of being assigned a permit in the fall.

To request a permit, log in to your online account. Follow each step and save the information. An assignment will be sent to your UGAMail if a permit is available to buy. Call (706) 542-7275 with any questions.

Please review the Priority System before choosing lots to ensure you have the best chance of receiving a parking assignment. For example, students should select lots where they have high priority as a resident or commuter.

Tips for Requesting a Permit

  • Be sure to make all 5 waitlist selections. Choosing only 1 selection greatly limits your chances of receiving a permit.
  • Prioritize perimeter parking lots in your waitlist selections as central campus parking lots fill up quickly. 
  • Consider where your priority group has precedence on the Parking Priority Chart. (Ex. Staff and Faculty members have the highest precedence in Staff lots.)
  • If you do not request a permit, no assignment will occur.
