Parking Citations


Citation Payments

Student charges will be forwarded to the Student Accounts division of the Bursars office.

Employees and Visitors may pay on the Parking Services website, via mail, or in person at our office.

To Pay Citations online please log in to your Parking Account.

If you prefer not to pay online, you may pay by cash, check, or credit card in person at TPS Customer Relations in Tate Plaza.

You may also mail a check made out to Parking Services to:

Inappropriately parked vehicles will be towed if registered to an account that has received 10 or more parking citations during the current academic year (August 1 - July 31). Both paid and unpaid citations contribute to the total citation count.

Appeal Information

Student appeals are adjudicated by a board of peer, volunteer students from the University Judiciary. Faculty and Staff Appeals are adjudicated by a board of volunteers from the Faculty/Staff Councils.

  • Citations must be formally appealed within 10 days of the citation issue date.
  • All appeals must be submitted through your Parking Account. If you are a guest, please create a Parking Account and you will be able to file an appeal here.
  • There is no hearing to attend. Therefore, any evidence or documentation must be submitted with the appeal.
  • Immobilizations and tow fines will not be considered for appeal.
  •  Appeals will not be accepted for Disability Space, Disability Access Zone, or Fine Lane citations.
  • Notifications of appeal decisions are made via email. Additionally, customers may view decisions in their Parking Account.

File an Appeal

To appeal your citation, log into your Parking Account and view your citations. The license plate on the citation must be registered to you to allow for an electronic appeal. Citations will not be available for appeal until the first business day after the citation was issued.

Towing Information

Parking in an illegal or unsafe manner at any time is prohibited and may result in citations and/or impoundment. Excessive fines, blocking traffic, fire lane violations or similar situations may result in the towing of such vehicle to an off campus impound lot.

The University of Georgia Parking Services primarily uses Barrett’s Towing and Shuman Services; however, various local vendors may be used for all towing and impounding services.

If you find that your vehicle has been impounded please contact TPS Customer Relations at 706-542-7275 or UGA Police Department at 706-542-2200.
