Friday, August 29
Buses will operate on a regular weekday schedule on Friday, August 29.
Gillis Bridge, located along Sanford Drive between the stadium and Tate Plaza, will close to vehicle and pedestrian traffic beginning at 5:00 PM, and buses will detour around this closure.
The following routes will be impacted by this detour:
UGA Campus Transit Routes
- A – Central East
- B – Main Campus
- C – Campus Housing
- D – North South
- H – Health Sciences
- MN – Milledge Night
- W – West Campus
Athens-Clarke County Transit Routes
- Route 9
- Route 12
- Route 14
- Route 26
Passengers at Tate Center – MLC and Tate Center – Memorial Hall should board buses at Tate Center – Instructional Plaza.
Passengers at the Physics Northbound and Southbound stops should board buses at Rutherford Hall.
B Line service to Food Science and Chemistry will be suspended. Passengers should use the A Line for service to North and Central Campus.
C Line service at Correll Hall will be suspended. Passengers should use the A, B, or D Lines to connect at Rutherford Hall.
D Line service to North Deck will be suspended. Passengers should use the Arch/Downtown bus stop for service to the Athens-Clarke County Multimodal Transit Center.
Passengers should expect longer trip times, and may need to transfer buses to reach their final destination.
Saturday, August 30
Buses will provide modified service on Saturday, August 30.
Weekender buses will operate limited service between the Health Sciences Campus and Lumpkin Street at the Business Learning Community from 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM. Due to gameday road closures, no service will be provided south of Baxter Street.
S – Stadium Loop will begin between East Deck and Sanford Stadium at 12:00 noon and will run continuously until 3:30 PM. Service will resume at the conclusion of the game and will run for one hour.
CN – Campus Housing Night and MN – Milledge Night buses will begin service at 8:00 PM once traffic patterns have returned to normal. Night buses will operate until 3:30 AM.
Sunday, August 31 – Monday September 1
Transportation & Parking Services will be closed in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Regular weekday bus service will resume on Tuesday, September 2 at 6:30 AM.
