Parking availability at the University of Georgia is extremely limited and is not guaranteed. Not all reservation requests can be fulfilled due to limited availability of parking spaces. In Fall 2024, the situation will be exacerbated by the loss of nearly 500 spaces due to construction projects that will expand future parking, dining, and housing options. First-year students, who are required to live on-campus with few exceptions, are especially encouraged to use our comprehensive Campus Transit system rather than cars. This past year, nearly half of the UGA student body chose not to request a permit and instead utilized alternative transportation methods to access campus.
To request a permit, please see the information below to create an account. Permits can be requested in the spring for the upcoming academic year, and permits are awarded during the year based on space availability.
