Parking availability at the University of Georgia is extremely limited and is not guaranteed. In Fall 2024, the situation will be exacerbated by the loss of nearly 500 spaces due to construction projects that will expand future parking, dining, and housing options. Students, faculty, staff, and visitors are encouraged to use our comprehensive Campus Transit system rather than cars. For example, this past year, nearly half of the UGA student body chose not to request a permit and instead utilized alternative transportation methods to access campus. For more information on parking permits, please visit our Permits page.
Hourly parking is available in a number of decks on campus and pay lots. Electric vehicle charging stations are available in the North, South, East Campus, STEM, and Hull St. decks.
Check how many parking spaces are available before driving through campus by using the “Deck Check” feature on the UGA App. Individuals can see how many parking spaces are available for pay-by-the-hour decks (Tate, South, East Campus, and Hull St. decks) as well as the Legion Pool Lot.
